River Roll Skate Center is more than a place to skate; it’s our family’s way of bringing people together for a good time. For over 30 years, we’ve been a go-to spot for laughter, exercise, and community right here in the city. It’s not just about the rink; it’s about the vibe we’ve created, a spot where you can kick back, roll around, and make memories that stick with you.
My name’s Pam Clinton, and along with my husband Skip, we run this place with a whole lot of love. We’re both former National and World Roller Skating Champions, so you could say skating’s in our blood. Between us, we’ve got over 50 years of know-how, and we’ve poured every bit of it into making River Roll a place that feels special. Our daughter Ashley’s in on it too. She grew up twirling around this rink and now helps keep it running smooth, carrying on what we started.
Our History
River Roll came to life because we wanted to share what skating’s given us: pure, simple joy and a sense of belonging. Skip and I have been hooked on skates since the ‘70s, back when big hair and disco were king. After years of competing and winning titles, we figured, why not build a place where others can feel that same rush?
Skip’s a World Champ, I’ve got my own National title, and together we’ve made River Roll a little piece of our story. Our daughter Ashley joined the club with her own National Championship win, and now she’s part of the crew keeping this place humming. It’s a family thing, and we love that it feels like home to so many folks who walk through our doors.
Our Mission
Skating’s always been more than just something to do. It’s how we bring people together, get moving, and create those little moments you don’t forget. For over 30 years, we’ve worked to make River Roll the kind of place where kids are laughing their heads off, adults can kick back, and everyone walks in feeling right at home.
